It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of The Collective Dairy Company – in fact, since starting eating more paleo/primal my favourite breakfast is any one of their yoghurt flavors and blueberries! As you can imagine, I was super-excited to hear that a frozen yoghurt kiosk was opening up in Auckland that used their delicious creamy yoghurt as a base for their scrumptious treats.
This is White’s & Co.
Tucked away in Atrium on Takutai just behind the Britomart Train Station is one of Auckland’s best kept secrets, although I don’t think it will stay that way for long! New Zealand is just beginning to embrace the flavourful goodness that is frozen yoghurt and White’s & Co brings a more premium offering to the market. You can actually taste the creamy richness of The Collective Dairy’s yoghurt coming through in flavours – this surprised me as many other frozen yoghurt places tend to taste more like soft-serve.
Service was relatively quick as you pay at the centre window and then move left for yoghurt or right for coffee. There are a range of unusual toppings – this time around I went for two of the more unusual ones, toasted coconut marshmellow and orange chocolate chip. There are some cute wooden tables (with flower vases!) in front of the kiosk to sit and eat and on fine days you can take your yoghurt to the outdoor bean bag area provided by the atrium as well!
There has obviously been some careful attention to branding – the typography in the logo is just stunning and the look of the actual kiosk stands out from many other “fast food” options in the city. Like them on Facebook and you’ll be able to find out if their gorgeous mobile trailer is at an event in your ‘hood – otherwise, get in to downtown Auckland and get some of this deliciousness in you!
